On September 21st, 1943, The town of Raritan gave John Basilone a Welcome Home Parade to honor him for winning the Congressional Medal of Honor
		The Parade was covered by Life Magazine, who ran a 4 page story & the Fox Movietone News who made a Newsreel that was shown in movie theators throughout the country
